Sharon Beatch Parksville, BC
Sharon collects shells, pebbles, seaweed, and driftwood to assemble her charming scenes for weddings, births, housewarmings, and other occasions. These are displayed in 10" black shadowbox frames, and are the best examples I have ever seen.
I’m located on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia and beach comb the beaches for the perfect findings to create my designs. I hope you enjoy them.
The Studio was started when we purchased our island cottage in Nanoose Bay in 2010. We have since moved into Parksville and I work from our home.
Our family enjoys time strolling the secret beaches in the area and playing along the shores. It is fun to find the interesting pebbles, sea glass, shells and driftwood and it’s great exercise to walk then carry the treasures home.
I have always loved doing crafts and creating things from almost nothing. Setting the beach treasures out after we got home and washed, quickly turned into visions of art.
I create simplistic and unique shadow box pictures which to me represent love, life, family, friendship and caring- all the values we hold dear in our hearts.
Some ideas were inspired from family and friends events like the birth of our grandchildren, weddings, boating, camping etc.
