Clare has been selling with us since 2008. She collects used inner tubes from bike shops, washes the tubes, and sews them into wallets, shaving kit bags, and a variety of sizes of zippered pouches good for everything from coins to pencils. Customers come in with wallets they bought from me 13 years ago and they still have years of life left.

Urchin Bags is the innovative and eco-conscious company created by Vancouver Island designer Clare MacKinnon. Clare’s love of bicycles, nature and recycling comes together in her funky and functional accessory line designed for everyday use.
She utilizes locally recycled seat belts, bike inner tubes, as well as off-cut vinyl, and canvas to create her durable products which includes: seatbelt wallets and bags, inner tube coin purses, rubber wash bags, pencil cases, messenger bags, bike accessories, key chains and more.
